Up at 6.30 and quickly washed our clothes. It was 9am by the time we departed.
Another day where our route got changed due to road closures from flooding. The scenery was spectacular and we took roads we haven't been on before.
Stopped at Kyogle for a walk around town and have morning tea. Rachel had packed us some delicious leftover birthday cake.
We stopped on the side of the road at a rest stop, wound up the camper and made lunch. Mark had a snooze and I sat outside in the breeze looking at the regrowth from the bushfires.
Put the washing out to finish drying in the breeze.
We ended up stopping at Couts crossing tavern. We were going to free camp but we were attacked by squillions of biting bugs so decided to move on.
Eventually we set up at Glenreagh rec ground in a lovely bushland setting. Cooked dinner in the camp kitchen watching the misting rain and listening to the birds. Beautiful spot for just $10 a night.
Our route for the day
Skirted around Grafton
We traveled a slow 315kms today.
