Day 43 26.3.20 nearly Coonabarrabran

We are currently docked in Melbourne waiting to disembark. To fill in time we read Gunthers blog. Had a great laugh, he should write a book! Safe travels Y & G, we will miss your stories. The below is taken from their blog

The view out the porthole of Melbourne at 6am.
We made it through the city relatively easily and are having a picnic in the Albury botanical gardens. Very few people around.

Albury has the best childrens garden I've seen.
 Bike rack.

Today we traveled 977kms, of which I drove 235!! Apart from the trucks the roads are almost empty. Straight to bed for us 😴😪

Total towed 5684.

Day 42 25.3.20 S.O.T

Another chilly but beautiful morning.  Got down to 6.7°c overnight. A very leisurely morning as we are only 35kms from Devonport and don't have to be there until 5pm.
3km walk with lovely views.

We farewelled Yvonne and Gunther as they are unable to sail until Sunday 😢

Stopped at La Trobe to view the giant platypus outside the axe man's hall of fame and had a solitary morning tea by the Mersey river.

Another lovely spot for a walk, only 1.3kms this time.
Trying to fill in time we stopped at Anvers chocolate factory, which was closed but we were able to sit in the garden and eat an ice cream.

We are currently waiting at the ferry terminal carpark. We don't start boarding for another couple of hours but there's no way we wanted to miss this boat!

Finally on board. Waiting for departure. Running 20 mins late 😲
Beautiful sunset as we depart.

Total towed 4707kms.

Beechford camp.
Water tank art at our camp spot.
3km beach walk to start the day. Very rocky.
Crossed the river Tamar over the Batman bridge.

 Lunch view at Deloraine.

Sheffield, the town of murals.

Mural park

This one kept us occupied for a bit as we tried to find hidden treasure in the art work.

Lovely poem... as we travel lifes busy roads, across oceans vast and wide, we see a world of inspiration as beauty surrounds us.

 Log cabin style Police station.
 Marble world shop (closed)

Our camp spot for our last night. Nice gardens and views of the mountain range.

The weather has been lovely and warm, by Tassie standards. Today we traveled 141kms, taking the total towed to 4672kms.
