Day 17 29.2.20 Julius River

Heading out to the wild west coast today. The plan is to do the Tarkine Drive, finding somewhere to free camp along the way.
The navigator  (me) forgot to stop in the forest for smoko 🙄 so we had a quick stop on the side of the road.

Edge of the world, Arthur River⬇

Couta Rocks

Rainforest walk near where we chose to camp for the night.

Drizzling rain on and off all day. Such a busy day we were tired and had an early night.

We traveled 145kms today.

Day 16 28.2.20 Black River

After a lovely, peaceful sleep we all went for a walk along the road. Carmel found us a great track through the bush. Gunther did some more droning. We walked 2.2kms.
Long rows of sausages (hay)
Off to Stanley after morning smoko.
 Finally remembered the selfie stick

Walking to the nut.
Took the chairlift up to the top of the Nut in Stanley and did the 2km circuit around the top. Spectacular views and incredible winds.

Coming back down the Nut 😂🌬

Convict ruins

Smithton was the next town on our list⬇

Pine tree planted as a memorial to those who served in the Boer war.
Went op shopping and just had to buy another jacket 😆
Back to Black River campground to cook chicken and veg on the fire.

 Carmel even made gravy.

Omgoodness, 10 out of 10.

After dinner visitors
