Day 36 19.3.20 Triabunna.

Another beautiful early morning sky.
Lots of places to visit today as we slowly start to head up north towards Devonport and our return journey across the Bass Strait.
Remarkable cave.

 Spectacular views yet again.

Convict coal mines

Bit warmer today, back in tshirts

Some intriguing, random fungi I noticed
Took a detour to the beach

Oysters everywhere
Back to the ruins

Solitary confinement ↕
I freaked out in one cell I went in as it had hundreds of little vampire bats (or something just as scary 😉) inside.
Stopped for a hot chocolate at a hand made choc shop. Had a few samples and purchased a licorice flavoured block.

More stunning views. I wouldn't be too upset if we were stuck here for an extra week or 2.

The blow hole

Blow hole from a different spot
Fossil Bay

We are staying behind the Spring Bay hotel.
Quick tour of old buildings that will be turned into a BnB
Parts of the original roof. No nails used.
Convict built fresh water well, still in use.
 Slabs of sandstone
 Resident lawn mower.
 At the jetty

Today we traveled 172kms (139 hitched), taking the total towed to 4073kms.
