Day 8 20.2.20 Wallacetown, Wagga Wagga

Today we had a lovely day exploring the towns of Young, Cootamundra and Junee at leisure. We know we are coming back this way later in the year so left heaps to do then. Internet is a bit slow but we are in a free camp just before Wagga Wagga.

Stopped for roadworks beside these guys.
 The town of Young ⬇
Painted rocks, rehid 1 and taking 1 to Tassie with us for my nieces children.
 The old railway station
Don't normally see a fireplace in the public bathrooms.
War Memorial

Clock tower was full of birds
 Council offices

 Presbyterian church
Chinese tribute gardens

No trip to Cootamundra would be complete without a visit to the birthplace of Sir Donald Bradman 🏏

A park full of cricket captain busts. Some had only captained for a game or 2.

The Don & I had a game of cricket.
Grasshopper on the 'baggy green' of Kim Hughes.

Ricky Pontings was the most true to life.
On to Junee

 Delicious hot minty chocolate.
The factory part was closing up when we arrived. Lots of chocolate in there waiting to be melted.
Mixing bowls look like cement mixers.
We 'had' to bring a sample away with us, rocky road and licorice.

Then it was finally time to find a camp site for the night. We chose a noisy roadside free camp 20kms before we get to Wagga Wagga. Amazing what ear plugs can block out. Our view.
Beside a very dry Houlighans creek.
Bugs were bad at sunset so I did a little diamond art.
Weather was a very pleasant 26°c.
We traveled 154kms today, makingthe total towed 1751kms.
